Things I need to remember: When God speaks, listen and obey!

On November 20th, Wiggle Worms will be holding their annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Wiggle Worms families in the Worship Center.

Our monthly Food Pantry will be held on November 24th from 9:30am until noon. We need volunteers so if you are interested, please see Meg or Joel Wissmueller. Some of our volunteers will be out of town for the holiday so we could use some extra hands. Also, if you can donate some of the following items, it would be greatly appreciate: cranberry sauce, spaghetti noodles, canned fruit.

In November and December we will be collecting extra gifts for the Lottie Moon Christmas collection. The funds raised allow missionaries to stay engaged in ministry around the world.

We do ask that you follow CDC guidelines when visiting for the health and safety of everyone.

SOLVING PROBLEMS

This Sunday, Senior Pastor Dr. Eddie Gandy talks about different kinds of discrimination we’ve seen from the past and that we still see today, serving in the church and priorities. On November 10th, we will be preparing for the Operation Christmas Child packing day. Please see Jean Hendry or Pan Lain if you will be available to fold boxes and place gifts on the table. Packing will be on November 11th at 6:30 PM.

In November and December we will be collecting extra gifts for Lottie Moon. Worldwide, as of June 2020, there were 3,585 IMB missionaries. Some of the expense to prepare a missionary to go into the field include $700 for a three month intensive training, $2,000 for vaccinations, $2,300 to train and launch a new missionary.

WILL I HEAR?

For every $25 dollars collected an ornament will be placed on the tree. Our goal is to raise at least $1000 and put at least 40 ornaments on the tree. Why give to this cause? “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). Every day 154,937 people die without Christ. That’s why we need to support our missionaries!

We only have 3 more weeks to collect items for the Operation Christmas Child boxes. Now is the time to start collecting the “WOW” items. We already have soccer balls and pumps for the older boys, and stuffed toys for the youngest children. We could use Matchbox cars, jump ropes, puzzles, games, yoyos, etc. The last day we can accept items is November 8th. On November 10th, we will be prepping the boxes for the packing party on November 11th.
