This Sunday, Senior Pastor Dr. Eddie Gandy talks about different kinds of discrimination we’ve seen from the past and that we still see today, serving in the church and priorities. The church also welcomed a new Deacon, who tells us about his path to the church. Below is prerecorded video and audio of this past Sunday’s sermon along with links to the verses that are being discussed.
New members classes are normally held on the 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month. Please sign up and confirm ahead of time by contacting our church office Monday through Friday between 9am and 1pm. The next class will be held in January 2021.
On November 10th, we will be preparing for the Operation Christmas Child packing day. Please see Jean Hendry or Pan Lain if you will be available to fold boxes and place gifts on the table. Packing will be on November 11th at 6:30 PM.
Our monthly Food Pantry will be held on November 24th from 9:30am until noon. We need volunteers so if you are interested, please see Meg or Joel Wissmueller. Some of our volunteers will be out of town for the holiday so we could use some extra hands.
In November and December we will be collecting extra gifts for Lottie Moon. Worldwide, as of June 2020, there were 3,585 IMB missionaries. Some of the expense to prepare a missionary to go into the field include $700 for a three month intensive training, $2,000 for vaccinations, $2,300 to train and launch a new missionary.
We do ask that you follow CDC guidelines when visiting for the health and safety of everyone.

Today we have a special guest visiting and speaking. Because of special circumstances, we will be unable to broadcast. Senior Pastor Gandy has a prerecorded message below to share with anyone who cannot be with us in person today.
Sunday, August 9, First Baptist Church of Spring Hill will host a guest speaker from the International Mission Board, who will be sharing his missionary experiences with us.
The International Mission Board (IMB) helps finance the missionaries who go around the world to share the Gospel message. Part of the money we donate each week to our local church goes to the Florida Baptist Convention Cooperative Program, who donates part of the proceeds it receives from the Baptist churches throughout Florida to the IMB. When the Lottie Moon collection is done at Christmas time, all of those funds go to IMB. Last year alone, $13,216,042 was raised through the Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon collection.
How was this money used?
13,898 churches were planted overseas.
3692 IMB missionaries were helped.
847 people groups engagement with the IMB personnel.
18,428 Pastors were trained overseas.
But, there are still 3176 people groups that need to be reached.
Unfortunately, missionaries can face risks in the regions they serve, so for security reasons, we will not be posting this weeks service; however, our Pastor will pre-record a message to be shown during our regular service time slot on Sunday.
