Fall Festival

Join us tomorrow, October 25th from 6PM to 8PM for our Fall Festival hosted but First Baptist Church Spring Hill and Wiggle Worms Christian Learning Center. There will be plenty of food and festivities for everyone. There will be a maze, games, prizes and more so be sure to join us!

This Sunday, join us at 9:30 AM for Adult Bible Study and Women’s Bible Study as well as a New Members Class with Associate Pastor Steve Celinski.

Afterwards, there will be music from our Praise Team and Worship Service at 10:45 AM. Responding to Adversity

I. Remember the Sources of Adversity

A: Self

B: Satan

C: God

II. Negative Responses

A: Blame Others: Genesis 3:12-13

B: Fight it: Isaiah 65:2; Proverbs 1:25

C: Become Bitter: Hebrews 12:15; Acts 8:23

D: Results of Negative Response:

(1) Multiplied Adversity

(2) Loosing Battle: Numbers 32:23

(3) Prolongs the Agony

(4) Hurts your Testimony: Matthew 12:26

(5) Guarantees another Trip: Proverbs 1:24-27

(6) Self Destruction: Proverbs 1:32

III. Positive Responses

A: Assume Responsibility: Psalms 139: 23-24

B: Confess and Repent: 1 John 1:9; Luke 13:3

C: Stop Complaining: Learn the lesson and thank God for loving you enough to not let you continue in sin.

D: Ask God to Remove it: Romans 8:26; 2 Corinthians 12:9

F: Claim the Promise: Romans 8:28

Just a reminder, on October 25th, we will be having a fall festival. More volunteers are needed for the event. The volunteer sign up sheet will be located on the back table and further information can be found on our site.

Also, we still have some time left before we pack the boxes for Operation Christmas Child so if you would still like to donate items or make a monetary donation for the purchase of items to be included in the boxes, you have until November 10th.
