WHY I BELIEVE

This Sunday, Senior Pastor Dr. Eddie Gandy shares his Easter message. Not only does he talk to us about Jesus’s death and resurrection, but he also discusses our accountability, the acceptance of the Bible around the world and historical accounts of Jesus’s crucifixion, as well as the sequence of events afterwards.

Below you can find prerecorded video and audio of this past Sunday’s sermon along with links to the verses that are being discussed.

Unfortunately, our sound cuts out towards the end on the audio only version; however, it is available in the video and is captioned in text below the audio file. The video also includes a Communion message that is not available in the audio version.

The ending of 4.4.21’s sermon
“These are witnesses to the death and burial of Jesus Christ. I want to tell you, I don’t know anybody that will die for a lie. I’ll die for the truth, but I’m not going to die for a lie. This little handful of men (the list of the early martyrs he just spoke of) who knew, loved and followed Jesus Christ; they saw Him through His ministry, they Heard His witness, they saw Him die and they saw Him risen. They were willing to go into all the world and die for that Gospel message, to die for that man, Jesus Christ. What are you willing to do for Jesus? All Christ asks us to do right now is ‘Live for Me’. Live for Him who died for us.

Tell the truth. Be a man or woman of integrity, honor. Live a life that is an example. I’m tired of a world that says do what I say not what I do. You want your kids to do the right thing as a parent? Do the right thing. Don’t tell them what to do, show them how to do it.”

Texts: Psalms 22:1, 14-18; Matthew 28:1-10

I. I Believe the Bible: John 5:39; II Timothy 3:16-1

II. The Witnesses of His Death.

III. The Witnesses of His Resurrection: I Corinthians 15:6

IV. The Sacrifices Made

All Isn’t Enough

This Sunday, Senior Pastor Dr. Eddie Gandy discusses the pursuit of fortune and fame and talks about the problems of life getting in the way of us seeing Jesus. He shares the story of Zacchaeus, a famous and wealthy tax collector who wouldn’t let things get in the way of him seeing Jesus and how his actions not only brought Jesus to his home but also changed him. He reminds us not to discriminate against those who are different and reminds us that when we spend time with Jesus, He will change our priorities, our lives and our whole world.
